Developed in the early 20th century and served by two streetcar lines, Elmwood Park and the surrounding residential area have attractive tree-lined streets and a variety of architectural styles in the homes and apartment buildings. It has a border with Oakland and has two lively commercial areas adjoining it. We will note bits of history while exploring the lovely architecture, trees, and gardens at a leisurely pace.
