At the Berkeley Historical Society & Museum (BHSM) we care about your privacy, and the privacy and well being of all members and friends.
Members: We periodically send announcements, postcards and newsletters to members by U.S. mail and email. We won’t share ANY information about you with anyone.
Friends: Friends are individuals that provide their name and email to the BHSM to receive our email announcements, plus other people and organizations we hope will be interested. We won’t share ANY information about you with anyone.
If you choose not to receive communications from us, and wish to be removed from our email and mailing lists, please contact info@berkhistory.org. You can also unsubscribe at the bottom of each email sent through Mailchimp.
One Time Credit Card Payment Authorization Policy: The Berkeley Historical Society & Museum (BHSM) has contracted with SquareUp for credit card processing services. We will manually enter the information you provide on the BHSM Credit Card Payment Authorization Form into the Square online card services system in accordance with our Seller’s Agreement with SquareUp.
When you use the BHSM Form, you give BHSM permission to debit your account for the amount indicated on or after the indicated signature date. This is permission for a single transaction only, and does not provide authorization for any additional unrelated debits or credits to your account. When you sign the form, you certify that you are an authorized user of this credit card and that you will not dispute the payment with your credit card company; so long as the transaction corresponds to the terms indicated in the form.
If you choose to provide BHSM your credit card information on a paper form, the BHSM will take reasonable precautions to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of your personal information. It will never be shared with a third party unless required by legal proceedings.
