Sunday, April 12: Opening event for “On the Waterfront: The Other Side of Berkeley”

A vintage illustration depicting the waterfront of Berkeley, featuring a ship in the water, buildings along the shore, mountains in the background, and smokestacks emitting smoke. The title reads 'ON THE WATERFRONT: The Other Side of Berkeley.'

Join us for your first look at this new exhibit, plus a program in the auditorium and refreshments in the lobby. We will also have a 15-minute annual meeting of members.

To introduce the exhibit, East Bay Yesterday podcast host Liam O’Donoghue will interview Mitch Fleischer, lead curator of On the Waterfront. Expect a wide-ranging conversation that will cover everything from failed development proposals to stories of fishing, factories, ferries, and fun on and near the bayshore.

Here’s the schedule:

2:15 Program, Auditorium
